McDonald's World Children's Day

On November 20, Ronald McDonald visited the Ronald McDonald House in Austin and Dell Children's Medicla Center to put smiles on bright faces of the young patients receiving treatment there.

Students from local elementary schools mailed more than 600 letters to the Ronal McDonald House in Austin as part of McDonald's World Children's Day Love Notes Project. The letters were messages of support and encouragement to let the young patients at Dell Children's Medical Center know that they are being thought of. Ronald McDonald personally delivered the letters to the childrenand spent the day celebrating wtih them.

McDonald's restaurants also launched the "Give a Hand" initiative where cusomters could purchase a colorful hand on location for $1 to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities. And on World Children's Day, McDonald's donated $1 from the sale of each extra value meal to RMHC.

McDonald's celebrates World Children's Day every year to raise awareness and bring the community together in supporting and looking out for the wellbeing of the children in our lives.
