The first McDonald's restaurant opened in San Antonio in 1970, and from this one store the Greater San Antonio McDonald's Owner/Operator Association (GSAMOA) has evolved. Currently comprised of over 20 local businessmen and business women who collectively operate more than 120 McDonald's restaurants, GSAMOA members work tirelessly to ensure that the Golden Arches serve as substantial economic and philanthropic contributors to the area.

With the breath of brand awareness that McDonald's enjoys throughout the world, members of GSAMOA, both as individual Owner/Operators and collectively as a Co-op and a company, care about the communities where they have planted the Golden Arches and are interested in issues that impact the lives of their customers. They understand that their employees and customers are the reason they can keep their doors open!
