    The Mc$ave program gives you convenient ways to invest in a money market mutual fund to help you save on a consistent, regular basis. You can save by having a fixed dollar amount deducted from your pay check each pay period, making a lump sum investment, or a combination of the two. The money you put into Mc$ave is invested in the Prime Reserve Fund at T. Rowe Price. You always have access to the money in your account, and you can start, stop or change your contributions at any time.

    (For Restaurant Management, Hourly Shift Managers and Floor Supervisors) The Cash Incentive Plan is an important part of total compensation for McOpCo restaurant management. This program represents variable compensation paid in quarterly cash payments, with each employee's rewards determined by his or her restaurant's success in QSC, guest counts, profit and people. Your strong leadership and focus in these areas are critical in making McDonald's America's favorite place and way to eat.
  • Vacation and Anniversary Splash Week
    (For: Staff, Restaurant Management, Hourly Certified Shift Managers, Primary Maintenance) The amount of vacation time you can take depends on how long you have worked at McDonald's. Your vacation benefits accrue on a calendar year basis beginning with each January 1. The anniversary splash week provides you with an extra week of paid time off during the year in which you reach an anniversary "on the fives" such as your fifth, fifteenth, twenty-fifth and thirty-fifth anniversaries. This extra week off is in addition to the earned vacation you are eligible to take during the year of your anniversary. See chart on this site for more details. Note that this chart pertains to eligible full-time employees only.
  • Sabbatical Program
    (For: Staff, Restaurant Management, Hourly Certified Shift Managers, and Primary Maintenance) This program allows eligible employees to take an eight-week paid sabbatical (Time Off) for every 10 years of full-time continuous service with the company. The sabbatical is a time to reflect on your job, career and the overall operation of our business away from the pressures of work, and to become rejuvenated. Rather than a reward for past performance, the sabbatical program is an investment in your future with McDonald's.
  • Educational Assistance
    (For Restaurant Management and Hourly Certified Shift Managers who have worked consecutively for six full months in such positions) The educational assistance program provides partial reimbursement for eligible courses related to your present job or function within your department, or for which you could reasonably expect to be assigned to in the future. Courses in an approved program taken to earn a business degree are also considered for reimbursement, even if not directly related to your current position or a future position. Eligible expenses include tuition, registration, university and lab fees and books. Review courses for the CPA, GMAT and GRA are also eligible, but actual exam fees are not. Courses must be pre-approved by your Department Head and taken at an accredited higher learning institution. You can be reimbursed for 90% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $5,250 a year ($2,000 a year for part-time employees), for grades "C" and above.

    (For Eligible management employees and primary maintenance) McDonald's Corporation makes available for you to participate in health coverage programs. The programs can cover the employee, dependents and domestic partners.
  • Life Insurance
    Eligible management employees will be provided automatically equal to two times your annual pay in basic employee life insurance. You can purchase optional term life insurance for you and your dependents.

  • Child Care
    All McDonald's employees are eligible for child care discounts at the providers with whom we have agreements. McDonald's has agreements with two national child care providers to help you afford the cost of child care while you work. Providers are: Knowledge Learning Corporation (KinderCare, Children's World and others) La Petite Academy Each participating providers offers a 10% discount off regular tuition (discounted rates generally do not apply for the youngest age cared for by the facility). Other benefits may also be available. To receive your tuition discount at any participating providers, provide proof of your employment with McDonald's.
  • McDonald's Profit Sharing and Savings Plan - 401K
    Following is a brief description of the McDonald's Profit Sharing and Savings Plan for eligible employees in the U.S. in these positions: Staff, Restaurant Manager, First and Second Assistant Manager, Certified Swing Manager, Primary Maintenance, and Crew employees. McDonald's Profit Sharing and Savings Plan consists of a 401(k) that lets you save on a tax-deferred basis for your future. McDonald's adds a match on a portion of your savings, and may add a discretionary profit sharing match. The Profit Sharing and Savings Plan is your primary retirement savings vehicle at McDonald's. Company Matching Contributions Once you're eligible, McDonald's will match your contributions with $3 for each $1 you contribute on the first 1% of pay you put in to the plan, and $1 for each $1 on the next 4% you contribute. This means a total possible match of 7% on the first 5% you save.

    This program allows eligible restaurant managers and supervisors drive a company vehicle as a reward for their exceptional performance in the areas of Customer Satisfaction (Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Value), Sales Growth, People Development, and Restaurant Profitability. Program includes: vehicle, car insurance, maintenance and operating expenses(gas).
